XC90 Foldable towbar

Each Volvo towbar has been designed for your Volvo. They are an integral part of the car's body and have been tested to ensure that they meet the most stringent safety and function demands.

The towbar is equipped with Volvo's Trailer Stability Assist-technology (TSA) and interacts with your Volvo's DSTC-system1. If the trailer starts to sway back and forth at speeds in excess of 30 mph (50 km/h), TSA can brake one or more wheels to regain stability and maintain control.

With the electrically folding towbar you do not have to stretch beneath the car to detach or remove the towbar. Pressing a button in the luggage compartment fold the towbar out. A simple hand movement positions the towbar in a locked position.

For increased safety there is a light indicator on the button that indicates that the towbar is locked. If the towbar is unlocked a warning message is shown in the car's combined instrument panel.

The towbar is supplied complete and ready to install, and includes certification datasheet.

The trailer module manages the electronic communication between the vehicle and trailer.

Easy connection of trailer connector (13-pin) as the electrical socket is integrated in the towbar.
